This classic 12"x15" New York Yankees sign features a classic quote from General Douglas MacArthur - "There is no substitute for victory". Steinbrenner attended military academy in the 1940's, and General MacArthur was one of his heroes. So much so, that while he was owner of the Yankees he had a sign with this exact quote hanging in the clubhouse to motivate his players! Steinbrenner liked to quote military figures and saw games as an extension of war.

Offered here is an autographed version of this iconic quote sign! In addition to the signature, Steinbrenner inscribed "The Boss", as he was commonly referred.
